ICMEDIA is the Spanish Federation of Media Consumers and Users. iCmedia embraces 14 national associations from all
over Spain representing tens of thousands of citizens from all different Autonomical Communities. This citizen initiative
started with the aim of encouraging the media to disseminate high quality audiovisual content, in compliance with the
legislation in force. From this goal we forged our name as an “Initiative for the Quality of the Media”. iCmedia works for
the improvement of the audiovisual content and the promotion of a positive relations between producers, broadcasters
and users. iCmedia represents the interests of consumers and users of media to public administrations and private
entities in the audiovisual sector. Finally, iCmedia promote active citizenship in the audiovisual sector and guarantee the
protection of the child audience facilitating access to content with an informed knowledge.
